Drivers never know what they might experience on roadways in California these days. Potential risks are present in nearly every driving situation. These days, just going for a short drive could end in a serious or fatal motor vehicle accident. Recently, a tragic accident in Fullerton claimed the life of one person and left three others fighting for their lives.
The accident happened on Magnolia Avenue around 10 a.m. According to reports, the driver of a pickup truck was traveling north and driving erratically. As he approached Valencia Drive, the pickup truck driver veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons, police said. Reportedly, the pickup truck slammed into an oncoming 4-door car, flipped over and crashed into a southbound SUV. The car then spun and crashed into a sedan.
Authorities said the driver of the SUV suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital. The driver and passenger in the sedan were also critically injured and trapped inside the vehicle. They were cut out of the wreckage and rushed to a local hospital. Tragically, the driver of the car died shortly after arriving at the hospital, reports said. The driver of the pickup truck suffered life-threatening injuries, and police are investigating to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Unfortunately, it seems accidents are an inevitability on today’s overcrowded roadways. When negligence in motor vehicle accidents causes injury or death, victims and families in California have the right to take legal action and contact an experienced attorney. A successfully litigated claim could provide vital financial relief to help victims and families recover from this devastating experience.
