She is a trial attorney specializing in the areas of Personal Injury and Intellectual Property, achieving verdicts and settlements on behalf of her clients in excess of $50 million in her more than 15 years of practice.  Ms. Gonzales has tried cases to verdict in State and Federal Court, including serving as co-lead counsel in Secci v. United Independent Taxi Drivers, Inc., which resulted in a published opinion from the California Court of Appeal, 8 Cal.App.5th 846, 214 Cal. Prior to becoming a litigator, Ms. Gonzales worked as the only attorney at SPR, an international human rights organization devoted to eliminating sexual violence against incarcerated persons.  As part of her work with SPR, Ms. Gonzales worked with lawmakers on the implementation of the Federal Prison Rape Elimination Act, and corresponded with numerous survivors of sexual violence, providing them with vital legal, and rape crisis counseling resources.  Ms. Gonzales also assisted in the creation of the first-ever database consisting of information based solely on survivor reports.
Since 2012, Ms. Gonzales has been recognized by Southern California’s Super Lawyers – an honor given to less than 5% of lawyers in the Southern California area, and as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Southern California.
